Only thing that puts me off the dvd is it's edited. Not a fan of edited live shows on dvd's.

This is so much better than TBK. Top 5 of the decade for sure.

i don't get why you would trim the title track when it's the best thing about this easily

Nah it's not (at least "The Apostate" and "A Piece of the Sky" are better). It's well-structured has a *perfect* intro (post-rock/Glenn Branca/Ascension), a solid build-up and an excellent riff of a climax, but before it concludes with a rather interesting blend of experimental rock and cowboy-like music it wastes a lot of time with a poor man's Filth/Cop and then a poor man's "ambient". In short: the structure of the piece is well designed, but the quality of the individual parts varies.

This is also the case with "A Piece of the Sky", but this song doesn't waste nearly as much time (only about 4 minutes (the post-folk rock section)). As for "The Apostate", well, it's pretty much flawless.

Yeah sorry going to have to agree that the Seer could use a trimming. The intro is indeed perfect, as is the finale, I liked the harmonica but the riffing was just a little long. Bring the Sun did basically the same thing but better in terms of the riffing department imo.
