I made an orchestral suite for this band and ended up with only one WR song on it (ghost key). Wanted more but ISIS tracks are long and the runtime can get quickly out of hand giving each one its due. Very fun/rewarding project though.

I don’t think there is a better sounding record than this. Flawless.

Hmm... this hasn't had the ol' chitchat for a while. Played through this again today, and holy crap, this was such a high note to leave for the band.

Legendary group and a stunning discography.

This album should be discussed more often, it truly has some great tracks also, it's astounding how good Aaron's clean vocals became in the lapse of five years (from Panopticon to this album), it's a night and day difference.

Band is one of the all time greats, and not just in metal. It's weird, ItAoT is my favorite Isis, then Panopticon and Oceanic are next best, then this is a close fourth. But for years now I've been gravitating most towards this and find it to be the most layered, complex, and rewarding of them all and I absolutely love the atmosphere. In some ways this is my real favorite I think.

The fucking opener just grabs you and paints a perfect picture. LOTR, oblivion, skyrim etc…

That was really good, it's impressive how well that all flowed together and was pretty true to the songs without straight copying them.

The only thing I dislike about this album is how buried the instruments sound in the mix compared to the vocals.

Yeah they should have released a remaster similar to what they did with Oceanic and Panopticon. Actually there is such remaster, but it's only available on vinyl sadly
