parts of it definitely do, but there's so much pots and pans bullshit that just does nothing for me.. I like the feedback and noise stuff in F# because it really adds to the atmosphere they were trying to provoke (apocalyptic), but a lot of it on here just feels really aimless and boring to me. maybe I'm missing the point of this record, maybe there is none, but I guess at the end of the day I just don't get it.

Yea it's not for everyone. But what I get from it is: For example the five minute ending of Static for example, it adds to the experience. If you really pay attention it's just something you get lost in. Infinity kinda tells more of a story or kinda acts like a soundtrack, but this feels like a strange dream or drug trip to me.

When it comes to experiencing the greatest albums, the listening context can be as important as the music itself. Never has that been more apparent for me than with this album; alone in a dark room and feeling less than my usual self, LYSF has provided the cinematic soundtrack to a range of emotions that defy explanation. Every careless word, I take it back - this album is more or less perfect.

@treeqt: why? having a greater amount of moods and musical variation elevates this above f#a# for me, even if the latter has a more engrossing atmosphere overall
