the vocalist is the worst part about this band. hes monotonous and his lyrics have so many cliches.

this long harrrd roooood

It's the way they're delivered and produced that makes them pretty good. The vocals kind of hover just above the rest of the mix and gives them an otherworldly feel. They can be laughable when you read them.

None of the lyrics are flatout bad though. Plus Karl sounds like giant

Sure, he sounds huge, but it really takes away from the performance when theres almost no change in delivery throughout the whole album.
Anyways, instrumentally these guys are pretty good. I started with this album, i think ill listen to Malice next.

This and Malice are both borderline 5's for me. Everything they've done rules tbh.

Its sounding pretty good so far. Gotta say i much prefer the old vocalist. Although his lyrics are even worse than the other guys, there were moments that made me cringe.

Seriously? Like which lines?

Idk, i cant remember, id have to listen again. Mostly the parts that were talking about relationships.

subject matter honestly goes extremely well with the moody and melodic/heavy dynamic this album has going for it. as someone that pretty much only listens to this for the instrumentals, his vocals are perfect
