Yeah, there's some bizarre gatekeeping going on. I love how pissed everyone got when Timewave Zero came out, despite the fact that it was literally the only album they'd made in that style up to that point

Paul made a snide comment about Gatecreeper in an interview a few years ago and you’ve literally said much worse things about Gatecreeper on this website just this year. He’s a nice dude overall who cares if he’s a bit pretentious. Basing your total condemnation of the band and their musical direction on this aspect of his persona while you listen to BM dudes that are 10x more pretentious and some of whom have literally been to prison is laughable broski
