It WAS frustratingly circular. Even I got the help and advice you guys were trying to give Deathbat and I couldn't understand how he didn't understand.
Rest in spaghetti, never forgetti.

the boy loves being disagreed with so he can just go on. And on. And on. Frequenting spit for like 10 years now; I can’t recall a more incessantly obnoxious user

I just don't understand how one person can't accept that people have differing opinions
|
| |
It's not even that. He feels bad people don't worship the albums he is inspired by because he think it means people on Sputnik won't like his music. The logic is twisted af.

If you don't ever release your music then you're just a dude wanking in a room and you'll become a stilted musician. If you do post it, you'll get your share of snide remarks, but you'll also get valuable criticism that will help you move forward. And what's the alternative? Playing your first show, fucking up and getting booed off-stage? How will you handle that if you're always avoiding feedback? Just post your music and start growing a thicker skin, you're going to need it to develop. Plus I'm genuinely curious to hear your music, I bet it's better than Snide's

Ever since They're Only Chasing Safety- every album has been consistent in greatness and this band has been a favorite of mine growing up. Erase Me though was a massive underwhelming disappointment. I will admit it has grown on me only slightly more after repeated listens (and I mean heavily repeated listens).
I finally got to see Underoath live a couple days ago for my very first time, they weren't high on the bill but it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up and as expected most of the set was off Erase Me (6 off here, only 3 other songs from past albums) and yet it was somehow refreshing. I think I enjoyed the live versions more than the recorded studio songs. So although Erase Me as an album is weak, they perform them with more energy in a live setting.

Lmao the making of doc for this album is called Get Over It
|
| |
Hmm so “My Deteriorating Incline” was actually about their future musical trajectory
Also that documentary title is cringe
