I mean the whole system is messed up but the way it is now it's like
The artists that win grammys have songs that are loved by millions and millions of people which, whether you think the songs are garbage or not, is pretty incredible. Sure you could say that the majority of people have bad taste or just don't know what they're missing by only listening to the radio or whatever but the fact is that these songs connected with millions of people and Sunbather won't ever be able to claim that.
but the whole industry is weird because you're either extremely mega popular and part of the music money machine or you're in the "underground" and there's not much overlap
i mean if everyone was as nerdy about music as we are then yeah sunbather gets a grammy
