Already said it but yeah while several of these songs are legit, I can’t listen to this or coma front to back. It’s just too much

I wish they continued to split this Parallax shit into EPs cuz the first one is peak BTBAM imo. I didn't even bother jamming this in full cuz its so long

nearly all the full length songs here are among their career top 25 in a vacuum but yeah the pacing is pretty atrocious

Even after moving past my longer songs phase this album still remains transcendent. However, Automata is probably their best overall. Much more digestible song lengths, and an equally amazing conceptual experience.

Coma is an awesome experience to listen to as a whole.

I really dig Parallax II, but I do agree that it's just a bit much

Automata is their best overall (2) in terms of full listening experience, probably yes. Coma is close but is still slightly fatiguing despite the big stylistic shift there. They really nail the pacing/sequencing on Automata (both parts together of course)

But splitting it was even smarter lol

I lowkey hate Coma. I don’t know why

Of all their albums, Automata was the weirdest to decide to split lol

I guess they kinda did that with this album but then part 2 just blew up into its own thing

Automata is one of BTBAM's weakest albums though. Especially part 1, it's super safe for them.

Im mostly just talking flow/sequencing wise, Automata really nails it. If just go blow by blow yeah they have stronger albums easily

Not really. Automata is the culmination of all of their prowess being meticulously refined. I like old wanky btbam, but Automata is much most listenable and replayable.

silent flight is my least fave on here but it'd be top 3 on automata

Automata is probably my least favorite outside of the debut. Then again, I'm also the werido who likes Coma the best.

I wish they remixed Coma because it sounds so utterly lifeless. I liked the live video they did, although the vocals weren't as good there.

Gave this a listen again after the new song dropped and still love it. Its just so batshit insane and felt like the logical conclusion for this era of the band.
