the beginning part of Odal is a pretty clear ripoff of a section of Katatonia's song Endtime lmao

But to me it sounds like they heard that passage and said "wow, that's cool, let's expand that into a full song." It probably wasn't conscious but who knows.



All I'm saying is that the album isn't completely original, and it wears its influences on its sleeve pretty often.

The band has said several times they were influenced quite a bit by early Katatonia which I think is very well reflected in this and Pale Folklore.
