Only thing more sicko about the game tonight would be jamming this album while watching it

Oh, of course! How could I have mistaken it for anything else?

yeah idk man cardinals game didn't really bother me too badly cause of all the injuries and the cardinals are a feisty team despite their record especially with kyler back...
...but idk how you explain last night. i never want to see trubisky again. both potential game winning drives you just knew it wasn't happening
lost to two 2-10 teams at home in the span of 5 days. commented a couple weeks ago i thought the magic has prob ran out and i was proven right in the most embarrassing way possible. between najee diontae and pickens the vibes on the offense are just so fucking bad anymore even if they have improved a bit post-canada.

i swore it looked like Bill gave up trying on offense because he realized Pittsburgh was never moving the ball anywhere.
Lot of bad playcalls (what we doin on a deep route on 4th and fucking 2) but Trubisky is actually a black hole. Can't believe he held a starting job for so long.

Worth noting the Steelers are generally cursed against New England. Business as usual from the Brady years lol. Bill looked genuinely fired up too at the end, not in a way I think I've ever seen.
Dude's apparently gonna be a guest picker on college gameday???

yeah i think tomlin now has a losing record against the pats even without brady
steelers subreddit in meltdown mode right now, prob the worst i've seen it in the last five seasons
@colts, bengals, @seahawks, @ravens... tomlin needs to go 2-2 to keep his .500 streak alive

I hope this finally, after all these years of sustained mediocrity, opens up a serious and respectful dialogue about the Steelers' need to move on from Tomlin. The .500 record thing is the Wizard of Oz, you pull back the curtain and you see no playoff wins in 7 years, with two of the last three wins being against backups, including the infamous 2015 Bengals self-destruction.
I hate to get so frustrated by it because I really have no skin in the game, but it will consistently amaze me how Tomlin is consistently above criticism. Sure *barely* winning is pretty neat but can you blame fans for, at some point, wanting to see those regular season accomplishments translate to meaningful postseason success?
The "You don't know how good you have it!" crowd would be singing a different tune if this was their squad for a decade+

i guess i'm in the minority, but in the NFL i very much do not think tomlin going 9-8 every year is the worst thing in the world. i just want to watch the steelers win games and they consistently do that in hilarious and entertaining ways no matter how actually bad or good the team might be. the lions canned jim caldwell for the same thing and then proceeded to win an average of four games a year the proceeding four seasons.
sure i'd love to be contenders every year (and we pretty much were for tomlin's entire tenure until ben's elbow exploded) but like i will take this season ten times out of ten over say, the cardinals's season, even if the cardinals will net a top 3 pick out of it. the steelers have consistently drafted better than them despite picking 10-20 picks behind them nearly every draft for the past 30 years. draft order means nothing in the nfl unless you need a qb and even then the best team in the league is starting mr. irrelevant.
i'm sorry but watching the steelers lose fucking sucks and i couldn't stand a whole season of it... and i'll be rolling with tomlin for as long as he keeps it up.

diontae looks fucking miserable and has shown very little effort the last few weeks. i'm surprised they didnt throw Mason Rudolph in there at one point.

I mean fair enough Alex, I just find that kind of vaguely competitive status to be aggravating over time. Those wins start to mean less when the postseason is an automatic loss. Which isn't to say every year needs to be a deep run, but I don't think it's too ridiculous to ask for something more.
Maybe it's different because y'all have historically been a dominant franchise and have your rings to rest on. Not many in the league have that luxury.

pickens and najee and especially diontae who just signed a brand new (and imo very generous) contract need to get the fuck over themselves... none of them are nearly good or proven enough to act the way they do.
think it was sherman who pointed it out on the post game last night... all the leaders on this team (watt, minkah, heyward) are all on the defense. this offense is completely barren of real leaders. the defense plays their hearts out even in spite of all the injuries just for the offensive skill players to mope around and whine all game. if i have any serious problem with this team its that.
