"This album really has grown more than I ever imagined"
same here, i actually kinda hated it on first listen
absolutely love it now and it's one of my fav Kanye albums

His best

tracks 2-9, besides famous, are so fucking awful
|
| |
father stretch my hands pt. 1 is amazing
|
| |
Famous isn’t great either. Hard to call this a masterpiece when Kanye hadn’t even settle on the tracklist til a week before the album released. Totally shows.

And the fact he changed it like twelve times since release is really telling.

love the whole "father stretch my hands" thing, seems like it should be a disaster and it sort of is but it's also fire

i always kinda forget how botched this thing's release was, but as it stands that first version is still probably top 3 kanye for me, just sucks we'll never get a physical release of any kind (well, for the time being at least)

Not really

This is the Kanye album that gives me the most emotional value. Saint Pablo, Wolves, Waves, 30 Hours. These all hit me so hard. Then there's also bangers like Feedback, Father Stretch My Hands 1 & 2, Famous, Highlights, Fade. So many amazing songs on here. To me it's the album that feels the most accomplished and really moves me from start to finish.
|
| |
Also yeah hardest grower of all time [2]
|

So if I fucked this model, and she just bleached her asshole, and I get bleach on my t-shirt, imma feel like an asshole!
Lyrics right up there with “Ur such a fucking hoe, I love it x100”
|
| |
If thats a response to my emotional value comment then i mean thats not what i was talking about. Also that line is legendary at this point
|
| |
randomly one of the only songs that has lasted for me from this album is Pt. 2 by itself. No More Parties slaps too obviously, Madlib is GOAT and Kanye’s verses are actually good unlike every other song on this album.
I’ve never thought about the emotional value of this album, because I can’t get past kanye’s stank ass verses
