Review's harsh but pretty much accurate. Into The Painted Grey is great, Monolith and Ghost are good, and the rest is decent with some great moments here and there. Might be 3.5 worthy

Their first 3 are 4.5-5 worthy, this just sounds like a mess. However I understand that it needs more than 1 listen to have an opinion on, these are just my first impressions

I didn't know you only had one listen in.
I was underwhelmed on the first play through, but it slammed me hard on the following listens once I started to notice the finer details. I actually think it's more interesting than Ashes for it's diversity alone.
It is also messy in many places, but that's part of its charm for me. There is a lot of passion in this, but I can see it taking multiple listens to appreciate. It all depends on whether or not you're willing to give it the time and effort since it's not as accessible as their pervious releases.

Yeah this has a lot of great stuff, certainly more good than bad. I'm gonna jam the hell out of this for a while and let it sink in. I certainly wished I liked it more than I ended up, though I did jam their best songs for some reason right before which probably didn't help
