I just don't think the vocoders suit the music at all. Also, it's terribly try hard, which this band doesn't really need to be

honest. So far Focus beats the shit out of this release, for obvious reasons.

I'm pretty sure I used the right word. Cynic doesn't use auto tune, a vocoder kind of scrambles while auto tune centralizes pitch. The singer of Cynic has great pitch (see evolutionary sleeper).
