@Pika - c'mon dude, why such a low rating? Is it because you didn't know that Love is a four letter word?

Feel like this is their best since The Black Album. That said I haven't jammed Load or Reload in a very long time. I didn't care for their latest at all but I only gave it a shot once so I should maybe revisit it again. There's some cool riffs and licks sprinkled throughout this one though. I think my rating is a little generous though and I honestly never return to this either

::stares deeply and lovingly into Pika's eyes::

But seriously, I grew up after Justice, saw The Black album, saw Load/ReLoad come out, St Anger, etc

I've literally waited almost my entire lifetime up until that point for these boys to be thrashing again. At that point, saying THIS album is the one you 1.5 after jamming RTL is really silly to me lol - this is them going back to their roots so much that it's even derivative of their older song structures (second to last song instrumental, first song really fast track, fourth song slow build up song, etc)

Nothing will be as good as their first four albums ever, but hearing this when this came out after waiting like 20 years for this band to find their balls was the biggest breath of fresh air of my entire life.

Albums fun tbh. Life, Line, Nightmare and Judas are great tracks. Production is a joke though.

I think this is worth posting if anyone hasn't yet btw https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ketQzC1YTJw sounds soooo much better

yeah this album has great songs but i just can't stand to listen because of the production, i think its worse than st anger even

broken beat and scarred is prob the only non-banger here and even that one has a sick jam section in the middle

The production blows, but at least I can hear the fucking bass in this one.

And Justice will forever be my least favorite production, because Newsted has some legendary basslines on that album if you actually know what he's doing and it's overshadowed but Lars simplistic ass drumming on some of the most complex Metallica songs ever lol

Justice would be my favorite album by them if it wasn't for the fucking production, as of now it's a tie between RtL and Master of Puppets

That remix and remastered channel you posted is great. The remix of this one is a huge improvement. Disposable Heroes rules too

Jammed my fave tracks on my commute back home and yeah every lars crash hit is still a switchblade into my eardrum

That being said, today I realized how naked James' vocals are on here. No double tracks, harmonies, little to no pitch correction etc. that was all over the bob rock albums and hardwired. Just one vocal track
