Homophobic slurs in hip hop in the 90s / early 00s are unavoidable but the fact that Eminem still uses them today is what makes them unforgivable

Who cares is what I'm saying. Your crying about a 50 yr old man using slurs on a dying music site.

In all honesty tho circling back to what I’d rate this, it’s been too long since I’ve listened, and although I did like Eminem’s earlier stuff when I was young (like what millennial adolescent white boy was eminem not a hip-hop gateway artist for?), I can’t stand him any more. I’m sure I could sort of enjoy some of the cheekier tracks in a nostalgic sort of way, but the thought of listening to something like Lose Yourself now makes me want to shoot myself in the face.

Tl;dr he’s fucking cringe I’d probably 1 it

yeah i have more or less the same outlook. remember having all the big eminem tracks on my ipod as a 11/12 year old and it being a great intro to hip-hop as a middle class white boy from south england (incredibly distanced from gangsta rap in about every way)

revisiting him as an adult im struck by how corny and grating his voice/lyrics are
