damn good call bro

My only real complaint here is that the production on this is a tad on the dry side. Particularly the drums, which feel somewhat tonally disconnected from the rest of the mix. Even through a tube amp it's lacking a little bit of bloom, decay, and lushness that I think would tie it together better and make it sound a bit more coherent (not that it sounds incoherent by any means).

A minor nit-pick, but that's about the most I can find fault with here.

Wow Sowing - way to grab a guy with your tagline. I was saying to my buddy who is awaiting his first listen, I think this is definitely the most complex Deftones album. Koi No Yokan and White Pony display dynamics like what are seen here, but this sometimes feels like a different band even. Their confidence and swagger on this are ridiculous. I've been a fan for 20 years and still can't properly rank their albums, but this is surely one of their strongest releases.

Not sure if its the best Deftones, but I immediately liked it after first listen and I find it really repayable already. Definitely one of their best albums.
