We're talking about 'real' bass. Not these digital add ons that claim they can magically recreate what Lars himself literally deleted in mixing.

the guy who uploaded this one says he got bass stems from a Japanese release
whether that's true or not, bass is bass

Jason's original isolated bass tracks can be found on YouTube, and they're very meaty and aggressive.

By song writing, you guys mean lyrics ? Because the music here is definitely weak compared to both RTL and Master...

RTL is infinitely superior to this.

It still doesn't fix Lars awful clicky drums and excessively long songs. But it is a lot more listenable thanks, and much better than some of the other And Justice For Jason mixes out there, it's still shit you have to get a AJFJ mix and the MODERUS3 mix for two of their albums to actually be listenable.

Songs definitely don't go on too long but I read somewhere that one night after playing the t/t someone was pissed off because he hated playing it live because it's so long. Then I think they stopped playing it.

Lars has stated he hates playing AJFA songs due to their complexity, and it's believed that he hired Bob Rock so Metallica could start playing easier music

A man in arguably the most popular metal band of all time refuses to take drum lessons lmao

It is still slightly more pathetic to whine about it 29 years later.

Not really when it's still been 29 years of him not getting any better and bringing down a band's quality.

I dunno man...being in a band that big and not giving a shit how much you suck is prettyyyyyy obnoxious. Especially for "metal" (not really metal anymore, but still).

I've always gotten the impression from interviews that Lars doesn't have the super passion for music that Hetfield does per se. Lars can't ever name any new bands he likes or think are good, whereas James sees to be super knowledgeable about old and new and still following the music scene. Lars just shows up, plays shitty, collects a big pay check.

James Hetfield basically is the band nowadays, without him they'd be fucked and super shit. But James is awesome so they're still pretty good live.
