93 Ave Blues fucking wrecks

Lots of fun and clearly ambitious but somewhat lacking. Sounds almost like Filth minus the aggression plus stretched A LOT.

"The Daughter Brings the Water" (better on the live album btw) and "The Wolf" suck, "Song for a Warrior" sounds like an average Angels of Light song but with female vox, "A Piece of the Sky" is too long compared to what it tries to say (on We Rose from Your Bed... Michael himself admitted he didn't have an idea on how to "stretch it" (he said he wanted it to be long...), my guess is he never really found a satisfying solution) and Gira simply can't sing anymore.

"The Apostate" is superb and "The Seer" has its moments, particularly the first 3 minutes, but honestly, even with just a 3.5, I probably overrated it.

still like this more than to be kind, even though that album has songs like little god and oxygen
