"Harsh vocals - Dimitri > Puciato"
This may have been true 18 years ago. I've seen some live DEP videos with Dmitri cameos and he couldn't really hold his own. Couldn't hear him and he wasn't screaming every lyric, like he was tired or something. Granted, he's been out of the game for years, but Greg's high screams live have improved by miles ever since around 2014-2015. His cleans have also seemed to get a lot more consistent ever since he took on his The Black Queen project.
So I still haven't been able to pick which vocalist I like more, but I don't think it matters. Dmitri sounds so angry and intimidating on this album which fits the music perfectly. Not everyone seems to like Greg, but I've loved watching him progress over the years which is unheard of in extreme music. Most vocalists voices get shot as they get older while he's garnered a technique for himself that works.
Idk I am writing an essay about this, so I digress.

Band didn't "lose" it after this but think I like some of their post-Calculating work despite Puciato's vocals, his harshes in particular are in the region between middling & negative for me. Says something about the quality of the instrumentation that I still listen to them a fair bit despite this.
