Been jamming this band non stop all week. I know my Opeth taste is vastly different from most fan’s but I still haven’t properly checked out this record yet.

So true Morningrise 💖
Which ones are your faves and least faves at the moment WhiteNoise?

My favourites lately have been Blackwater Park, Pale Communion and Watershed.

Watershed and especially PC are unconventional choices for sure! PC does have one of their best tracks, Eternal Rains hmmmm!
|
| |
Yeah for the longest time Ghost Reveries was my favourite but Blackwater is clicking for me more these days.

Wreath needs more love, whopper of a track.

its ok i suppose but it might be the most unremarkable track from this era

@White Noise There's a youtube reviewer who also says PC is his favourite, because of how well progressive rock is executed. On the other hand, most people dislike PC specifically for that execution!
But tbf, even if it ranks lower for me too, Eternal Rains, Faith in Others and Cusp of Eternity are all amazing songs.

Ye it jams hard. I usually listen to the Lamentations live version of it since it brings that energy.

By the Pain I See in Others is ok, but the title track and A Fair Judgment will always be my favorites on this one

Wilsons remix of this definitely adds some meat to the bones
