Trophy has a fair point, this sucks & so does Children of God. I do hear similarities between this & (some) Black Midi, particularly that track, but yeah it’s not that close. Jesus Lizard sort of connects them, maybe? Not Swans, the other two.

The only similarity I really give this to The Jesus Lizard is the obvious vocal influence but that’s not new for Daughters.

They were more influenced by Jesus Lizard on S/T. Their biggest vocal influence is actually Nick Cave and it shows up even more on this album.
This album is more like This Heat, Coil, NIN, Suicide, Swans, The Birthday Party and many others that I cant name off the top of my head.

That’s a bit of a stretch, I mean I’m not gonna say Daughters doesn’t have their own unique sound because they do but comparisons to other noisy and industrial-tinged artists aren’t unwarranted
