The big announcement is a $500 42-cd box set.

well there's a lot of live material in there that's pretty cool, stuff from the British Steel and Ram It Down tours that I've only ever heard in bootleg form.

But I'll never pay 500$ for it wtf, guess I'll wait for the torrents

it says all albums remastered, I wonder if they will be much different from previous versions.

it's cool that they are acknowledging the Ripper years, even if the material was not as good. their last album boxset was just the Halford records. I'd be interested to listen to some of the live albums, but ultimately not much there on offer.

also discs 41 & 42 are called "Beyond Live & Rare" but 24 of the 25 tracks are live? the only one that isn't live is a demo of Epitaph lol wtf, but hey at least there is a version of Mother Sun

Dang didn't even notice, that's pretty rad. In general it feels like they're actually acknowledging a lot of things that never really were in recent years. Hell I remember the days where they couldn't even reissue Rocka Rolla or Sad Wings because of the label. I would have been more excited to see more rarities tho

How they went from Rocka rolla to this in two years is mind boggling. Absolute classic!

"How they went from Rocka Rolla to this in two years is mind boggling. Absolute classic!"

It's pretty simple, honestly. Rocka Rolla was the product of a record company. Sad Wings was the product of a band.
