The solo section on A Fair Judgement has always been so incredibly awesome. I like the Lamentations version even more, so good

Getting all these Opeth threads mixed up and thought we were talking about Point Break

100% agree. It's the overlooked gem on an overlooked album.

It took years for me to like it though.

On the contrary for me. I love it so much more now than fifteen years ago. I'd even rank it among their best work nowadays.

Well I envy that. The only thing I give a damn about on here is the title track. The other tracks are respectable but don't hold up as well for me. I'm finding it a lot harder for me to enjoy most albums like I use to nowadays, gotten pickier on my music.

That's a pity man! Perhaps this will change again one day, that is how it usually goes anyway!

For me, the first four tracks are all pretty much perfect, which is almost 40 minutes of music already, with the t/t of course, but A Fair Judgement as well, being among my fave Opeth tunes. And Master's and By The Pain are great as well.

I’ve always liked this album even though I’d rank it near the bottom of their discography, but it’s been growing more and more on me recently.

Same, and not higher than MAYH and Heritage. And maybe Orchid/Watershed.

Goes to show how many of their albums are GOOD.

Yeah that’s the thing, I really like this album, but it’s still in the bottom half of their discog for me haha

So many great albums
