Hmm... can't disagree with those as standouts ... I'd add more I suppose ('Porcelina' too), but there are dips.

Notice 'Zero' was omitted. I'm trying to picture what it'd be like to hear it first time as an adult. What spoke to me so much as a teenager, would probably just come across as petty and juvenile now. Still like it (possibly more for nostalgic reasons), but definitely hits differently now.

Zero's lyrics are pretty cringe but the song rips like no other

Zero kinda is iconically cringe - condensed tracklist is p good. Kick Muzzle, add Zero and probs swap Thirty Three for Starlight hm

1979 slowly grew in stature in the years after I guess

I think 'Mellon Collie' and the first two songs I think of are 'Zero' and 'Tonight Tonight'

"I will go down always as saying Kurt [Cobain] was the most talented guy of our generation," Corgan says "Kurt had so much talent it's like frightening, it was like a John Lennon level of talent, where you're like, How can you have all this talent? Or Prince, right? But Kurt's not here, you know, sadly... When Kurt died I cried, because I lost my greatest opponent."

I have this rated highly for nostalgic reasons, yet cannot actually remember like any(?) of disc 2, oopsie daisy

Siamese Dream has to be better… right? I’m thinking the vibes will eclipse this one having heard it again this morning (it wasn’t all smooth sailing, but still).
