I have heard, in this thread and elsewhere, that prod gripes have come from certain listening experiences ie gear etc. like some people have said headphones sounds better or worse, etc

I just think it sounds good period lol

Yeah I don’t really care for this band at all but my issue has never been with the production. This and Violent Sleep both sound fantastic I just don’t like a whole lot of what’s actually going on musically.

yeah production is not bad at all of course. I like the sound of Koloss more but these two are not really comparable, just a matter of taste and perhaps gear.

I have a feeling the next one will be the last. Pretty amazing we even got this from 50-55 year old band members.

wildcard you should start with the early albums like CC, DEI or Chaosphere, they're probably more in your ballpark musically

FWIW, I jammed the whole Meshuggah discog this past month and going chronologically made their music click so much more for me. Band has never missed!

Going in order whether forward or back def is the way to start depending on which sound you gravitate toward, their old or new. But ironically the ones in the middle clicked for me the most

With just how consistent they are with regards to touring, I can't imagine them stopping after just one more album. Even then, they could just finish out their careers touring yearly playing nothing but bangers and they would still fill venues. If they never produce another album, I honestly don't think I'd be too upset--they've put their stamp on metal and justifiably have said all they need to say.

Now if they stopped touring I might have issues.
