they are not immediate as in first listen but certainly not as much as WP which took me like, what 15 listens ( 1 year ).

Im with Bubsy on this one, especially on the S/T, that's easily their least accessible album. Still really good, but for different reasons.



If I had a friend who wanted to get into Deftones I'd say go with DE first then WP then KNY tbh.

S/t I can understand but SNW was so immediate for me. Maybe it was because it was the last album of theirs I heard, and I got used to them but it didn't take long to click.

s/t is a shock to the system unless you came from ATF but it's a worthy addition to their catalog nonetheless. In fact, i'd say it was their best release if not for WP, SNW, KNY and ATF
