in birth gives me fucking chills. its the ambient indie rock side they did so well on that record.
and to be honest... the last 3-4 tracks from Abortion Plan through Devil Walk... idk if yall know the background, but Brennan was supposed to be aborted apparently but survived. Fucking chilling knowing this hearing the lyrics on the back few tracks

No way, that's fucking wild. The Abortion Plan is a killer track, must've been hard to write about something like that
|

Pretty wild that someone admitted that to him after he was older.

i hope they work on their production.. i would be way more into it if it sounded better.
an example: silverstein's live concert from the summer is super well recorded for live material

Spencer really showed that he could hold his own as the sole vocalist, his raspy clean vocals also help keep the sound inline with the bleakness of the rest of the album.
I think the record also benefited from having only one vocalist, it’s like Spencer didn’t hold back on bringing up his own demons and it definitely made this a more personal record than their previous ones.
