I get the measurement thing. Celsius, meters, liters, that I can fuck with. No need to ""grow up"" and embrace that. But the date thing is pretty gay. It makes more sense when speaking. Sure, going day-month-year is an ascending amount of time and makes sense. But when someone asks the date, I don't say the 9th of February, I say February 9th.

America's units of measurement are the most pointlessly convoluted things humanity has ever come up with. Then again with the amount of stuff America does wrong and force feeds the rest of the world, having to take my measurements at work in fractions of an inch is pretty petty. Better than having 20,000 "democracy bombs" dropped on my country every year.
