She was into industrial metal at that time, so I don't see any sense of why she could have stole it.

Yup yup, my WP shirt is red too! With the WP era Deftones logo in white beside a white pony. Same as yours?

next record they make shaping up to be great, they aren't working in a rushed way like they did on the last few albums, they're working a lot in the studio, like they did on White Pony and the S/T and SNW and they're working with Terry Date again, apparently, who last produced the S/T album. He captures their sound well, I think.

This new record has the same air around it mewithoutyou had when they released Untitled. It really feels like this is going to be more than a new Deftones record. They're gonna rule the world again and I cannot wait.

"they're working a lot in the studio, like they did on White Pony and the S/T and SNW"
not true for SNW. like Chino stated in an interview, it was mostly sending tapes back and forth with parts cuz they could not stand each other at that time. and you can still hear that in the record tbh. vocals, guitars etc. are not really organic and more like "put together". I still don't get what people are seeing in that record

they see how strong those put-together songs came out

It's their best record so there's that

SNW is great, but is in no way their best album. It definitely has a very disjointed feel and feels more like a collection of songs than an album. Luckily, those songs are great so it’s a 4.5 rather than a 5 for me.

The ending of "Feiticiera" gives me chills every time.
And that's just the START of the album.

The entire album has this incredibly haunting, chilling and eerie vibe that never lets up or wavers. That cohesiveness is a big reason it’s their best album (and it containing so many of their best songs).

My favorite band ever.
So stoked for the new album.
As someone else pointed out, I love the fact that they've been basically working on this album for nearly two years. The writing, the recording process, the mixing, etc.
Getting back together with Terry Date, it appears as though this could be a really great record from them.

"...it appears as though this could be a really great record from them."
I hope so. Gore was a good album, but it's definitely the band's weakest in a while. It should be interesting seeing them hook up with Terry for the first time in years after the strides their sound since Diamond Eyes.

yeah, this sums it up pretty well for me
also Feiticeira might be the only Deftones opener that isn't straightforward...which I love about it

they did send things back and forth on SNW but Chino spent time in the studio by himself working a lot on parts of songs and arranging them taking parts out, moving them around, etc. he even named all the songs, and arranged them all in the tracklisting in the order they ended up in
For all the records since SNW the band recorded a lot live, it was a quicker process and they were not writing in the studio, on this upcoming record they are writing in the studio again, that's why Chino said it reminded him of how they did White Pony

Knfe Party is still my favorite in here.
I never knew US version starts with Back To School. Cringe choice.

"I never knew US version starts with Back To School. Cringe choice."
record label forced them to make a "hit single" and they improvised by making Back To School, which was not included in the original version of this album. They added it afterwards.
