It's an unfinished demo from the Rage sessions, the lyrics were later partly used for I Don't Believe in Love

The singles from this one were I am I, Bridge and Someone else?. It's incredible how such an album is nowadays almost forgotten. It might not be consistent as some previous albums, but the peaks of this one are on another level, especially the title track. The tour was phenomenal too, standing by the bootlegs.

This is better than Empite. It might be their best album. The bonus track Real World is brilliant. Very atmospheric album.

Yeah Real World is such a great song. It should've been part of the album.

Last Action Hero! That soundtrack is killer. It has my favorite Alice In Chains song = What The Hell Have I

Seriously tempted to 4.5 this... such a great album, and I love the more progressive and experimental moments

Fuck it, just 4.5'd it. I think this, Operation Mindcrime, and Rage for Order are the band's peak trifecta

This was such a moody, introspective album -- and it didn't bother with radio friendliness at all -- that most the people that had only listened to Mindcrime and Empire probably immediately dismissed it.... which was probably a vast majority of their fans back then... there was no youtube or streaming services to hear the other ones for free.

This one isn't as accessible as its predecessors. I find it to be their most progressive album, and the record is laid out really well. Once Empire, Mindcrime, and Rage have all been digested, it's time for Promised Land.
