It makes you look like a dumbass though. You should take out the time to write out what you have to say.

Wow, this board moved very fast while I was gone. Well, Im gonna go listen to Trivium, and enjoy it, and I hope everyone has a nice argument, because its clear that arguing about what you hate is more important to you than actually listening to what you like and just enjoying it. I did partake, but I have seen the error in my ways, and I think Im gonna go have some fun now instead of listening to people try to berate what I enjoy.

I actually like reading some of these comments, and the closemindedness of lots of people. Tis quite funny, really.

Wow steerpike as a musician its plain ignorant to compare Micheal Graves to Matt or Corey,as if the misfits or any punk band actually has good musicians outside of the occasional drummer here and there.

I hope the irony here is not lost on any of you.

You seriously just hurt that "credibility" on this forum that you speak so highly of

Says who? You? Pfft! Give me a fuckin' break.

Matt Heafy is considered a guitar prodigy, and if you bothered to do some research you would realize that the kid.......

Yaawwn!

Yet somehow they really suck, arent thrash, and most certainly arent metal at all.

Never said they weren't metal, just that they suck.

A7X actually a good band......I almost thew up when I read that.

Aw, poor baby.

You really should of used Alexi Laiho as an example but I guess you're not metal enough to come up with that, instead you talk about A7X.

If you want to engage me in ritual metal-off, I assure you that you will lose quite spectacularly.

I guess you must be attending Vengeance University right now?

McDaniel College, if you must know.

Im sorry, but everyone is wayyyyy too quick to hate on Trivium.

I listened to the whole Ascendency and wanted to stab myself in the face with a soldering iron. What more do you want from me?

So I guess its wrong for a band to make money now too?

How much crack did you have to smoke to think any of us said that?

These guys were an post-hardcore emo band

More proof that you have no clue what you're talking about.

At least Matt H. has a great voice

For someone that reviewed a Christina Aguilera album(he gave it a 3) you seriously need to get the f*** off this board right now.

But,Im a Metal fan,I wouldnt be caught dead listening to that trife garbage nor could I even relate to it.

Then you're not a musician, you're a scene kiddie.

Pop Music is for people inside the box that let the TV decide whats cool to wear and whats cool to listen to.

The irony here is palpable.

ShadowFallen's review seemed a little too harsh to me and a little bias at the same time so I felt the need to express my thoughts on here.

Considering the hostile, condescending, childish way you expressed those thoughts, they aren't worth the paper they're written on.

Hmmmm......or you sure about that? And if you are,how exactly do you mean that?Do you mean classic rock?

Jesus hairy Christ, this one speaks for itself.

I hope to god you're not a guitar player and actually just made that comment.

Again with the overwhelming irony.

however classical music is "METAL" in its own way.

Pseudo-intellectual and pseudo-philosophical.

Stop trying to make yourself look intelligent cause it aint workin.

I'm running out of irony jokes.

Vocabulary is based on the words you know the meaning of and how to use them.

I just tripped over a solid clump of irony!

I got more irony jokes!

I think Im gonna go have some fun now instead of listening to people try to berate what I enjoy.

Send us a card when you're done crying about how we can't conform to your musical taste. We're every bit as entitled to come here and express our opinion as you. We have no problem with you listening to this band, what we do have a problem with is fanboys coming in and attacking anyone who disagrees with thme.

Vocabulary is based on the words you know the meaning of and how to use them. That has nothing to do with my slangster spelling.

Ugh, you still don't get it. By dumbing your words down with slang YOU are showing lack of vocabulary. It's like calling fornication 'doing it'. You see? You may know bigger words for the slang terms you are using, but regardless you are using slang when you could indeed be using bigger words. So, you can't criticize Bron for having a small vocabulary (which he doesn't anyway) when you're dumbing your own down. Comprende?

Sharkmenow hasn't made me go out and buy this CD. Which is the purpose of reviews. They either say whats wrong with them which this review clearly states or tells the reader if they should. As people have been saying music is subjective, not everyone likes the same bands/genres. Theres also bad bands in certain genres, Trivium seems to me to be one of these. They are also saying that this band is very unorignal, as they seem to be a Metallica rip-off.

So sharkmenow, if you can understand what I'm saying then well done. Also you should try to realise that your not very smart and learn to appreciate peoples reasons. One more thing you contradict yourself a lot, such as telling people to get a bigger vocabulary when you have a small one yourself.

The forced 'Woahs!' in Anthem make me cringe. I do think Trivium show promise, but only if they were locked in a room with no access to pre-recorded music for a few years. Awesome review, a pleasure to read.

Totally agree with everything especially the part where metal bands have to do their own thing and not follow a trend. Thats metal`s whole point.

Its a shame what Trivium has done...

i decided to listen to this album with an open mind but the vocals on the 1st song just made me laugh so much :S the main riff of unrepentant sounds oddly like through the never and the last song makes no sense musically whatsoever but otherwise i think its ok...

Have you noticed the sound-off that our little darkling Sharkmenow wrote? Apparently, he's decided to move on to bashing us in a way where we can't directly pwn him. Too bad his ignorance speaks for itself.

I like how he ignored every point I made and told me to get a dictionary.

He's cute.
