Listened to a few songs and it seems fun but the decision to make the mix sound like a local DJ redlining a set is baffling. At least I hope it's the mix otherwise my car speakers are toast lol

I could see this growing with more listens, maybe. That super low, practically atonal wall of static guitar production isn't landing for me. Like during the really heavy parts I know they're supposed to be riffing a bit but it all comes across as bursts of shuffling, toneless static. But, their lighter tracks are quite nice.

Jfc dude we get it, you're here bc this is the only site people can't block your bs like anywhere else you go, so this is all you got. Hope shit turns around for you, seriously. Only way is up from here.
Anyways, this does get better with repeated listens, but the middle part has too much meandering. Also, I'm a bit disappointed in the drums. I Let It In was way more creative I feel like, even though he spans more influences on this one.

I think I like this album? I feel so conflicted. I think I genuinely ADMIRE the risks taken songwriting-wise and production-wise so much that it's clouding whether I truly enjoy the music or not. I think they've lost some of what made their older heavier material special, but have also improved elsewhere. I also don't think the heavy aspects of this album are that warranted, yet I appreciate the dynamics. I don't know, I'm just confused.

Never cared a ton for this band's studio work but this album has totally captivated me. Harder to Pretend is gorgeous and has so much going on that it's hard to imagine how you even write a song like that. The vocals are unreal. I can see this moving up to a 4.5 for me as Revenant is the only weak song here.
