I wouldn't say Pale Folklore was their best album, you can tell it has a distinct lack of maturity present in Ashes Against the Grain. It's a damn good album, I bought it when it was new blindly without hearing anything based on recommendations from people I knew, and I'm certainly not sad I did, but I would actually say that it's their worst album (but still a great album). I can't say there are any parts in The Mantle or Ashes Against the Grain that make me laugh out loud, but I can say that about Pale Folklore.
