I also noticed over time there’s influence from Night Verses a bit here in the guitar which is mega rad

Are they in anyway associated with Night Verses? Share a member?

The more listens, the better it gets. BUT…listening to stereo grief right now and shit was perfect.

Lol yeah I've had about 7 favourites off this at different points. Took a while for Night in October to grow on me but that outro section eventually won me over.

@Feather - they aren’t associated. I just hear them in some riffs on this one. Namely that Night in October bridge thing. Gives me Copper Wasp vibes or something

it's because every song on here is truly exceptional. Where the light leaves us for instance left me pretty cold when it came out, but maaaan is that a sleeper track. The hook game on this is absolutely insane. night in octobers last minute or so where he goes into this heartattack lyric portion, damn man

I've listened through this less than I'd like but I still think it is a great album overall. Doesn't measure up to Stereo Grief in the end and I'm a bit surprised with how wide of a gap I personally feel exists between the EP and this.

metalcore is my kinda jam, and these guys avoid all the shitty tropes and cringe that most other bands are guilty of, but the singles on this really didnt do much for me. any other highlights i should check out?

@Shart, can't recommend their Stereo Grief EP enough. Only 5 songs but they are all incredible.

Scratch that, it’s probably Diamond to Diamond, one of the two

Shatter and Burst is fantastic, especially if you start with Prelude and let in lead-in to S&B. Burn a Miracle is probably the best GH-style song on the record in my opinion so I'm surprised that one didn't hit the mark for you (however, it works much better within the context of the album).
