@ephemeral it's true, kny was the last elite album and then the creative breakdown happened between stephen and chino, plus the death of chi

they haven't been the same in over a decade now and the only reason for their current popularity is that tiktok kids are acting like nobody has ever heard their music until the last few years

i also lost a lot of respect for chino and stephen - the former for being a control freak that isolated sergio, the latter for being a stoner moron who is anti vax and thinks the earth is flat while refusing to tour outside of the US

abe and frank are still cool though

would have been cool if they called gore "sore" as it's both eros spelled backwards and how my brain feels after listening to it

Great you do. I find the title as inspired as the way Chino told of how he came up with it, but each to their own.

Really like the vibe of the album title + cover, this band always really nails it in that department. Here's hoping the music is good

Man this is fucking awesome, like, genuinely good Deftones stuff. It feels urgent, exciting and fresh. Countless imitators will look at stuff like this and be like ahhhh, I need to replicate that

Just a thought, but anyone think Infinite Source could even be written for his daughter? She went off to college while they writing this album so, just a thought. I could be way off. Taking my daughter to college in San Diego next weekend and it’s very bittersweet. So I could be projecting, but it kind of fits to me. At the same time. It also sounds like it’s written to the fans. Since there’s a finality though and I’m of the very strong opinion that Deftones have no plans of quitting anytime soon, I thought of the daughter theory.

@Faraudo it's amazing that nobody manages to truly sound like them despite all of the countless imitators
