You know what, this is slowly starting to grow on me. After first listen I just heard a lot of interesting ideas but only 1 actually great song (Broken Man), but I'm hearing more and more things I like the more I spin this. Def their best since Dramatic Turn. Average is bloated though, no way that this is better than Octavarium / close to as a good as Train of Thought.

I'm telling y'all the lyrics on this thing are bad bad. Especially forcing Labrie to have to use so much slant rhyming in order to make the lyrics "work."

I know this is a tired trope, but I'm always excited to listen to Dream Theater... until I hear James start singing. And then I'm just annoyed that he's getting in the way.

Oh, I like the idea of Ross Jennings from Haken--he could be a good replacement. He also hasn't blown out his voice like James has.

Solid album but yeah I think some are overrating it a bit here. I actually prefer ADTOE to this.

This is really starting to reveal itself after 8-10 spins or so such as the intentional Best of Times undertones on the closer.
