He seems like a colossal pain let's be real

I mean he could be, but I think it's pretty hard to say one way or the other from the outside. Dude uses the internet to be a shitposting troll and uses his band to get his mental health demons out, and that's like 90% of what we see. Not sure that's enough info to jump to any sort of conclusions about what he's actually like to be around lol. If you watch any interviews with him (I recommend The Downbeat episodes with him) he just comes off as a goofball.

I can’t get into this for the most part. Some cool moments, but yeah

why do people leave the band all the time? Not a lot of money to be had playing this unless you go buttrock. Which thankfully they haven't..... yet.
Jesse came back so Brendan cant be too much of a cunt. love Brendan though, the werid fucker

Instrumentation is totally on point. Vocals seem by the numbers as they have for while now
His cadance is predictable

Id actually be kinda stoked to see the band veer in this direction entirely if only with the knowledge that this is in part the byproduct of a happier Brendan
Also tbf the band has been fulfilling out their progression of Mis Sigs/Shai Hulud adjacent core for a long while even if the ties by AEFTSH basically were severed so if they did straight up HEAVIES or even prog power metal concept album from now on that'd be dope

Sounds like an END EP a lot of moments. And I'm not complaining.

yeah I don't really think Brendan is hard to work with, dude has got two really fucking talented bands with some of the most talented people in the scene. Nothing really points to all the line-up changes having anything to do with him alá Tim Lambesis but rather because the band wasn't exactly making bank pre-Eulogy so not surprising a lot of old members threw in the towel. Brendan has said that the band is doing better now than ever, so hopefully they can get keep the momentum going with the next LP, but please for the love of god don't ditch the trademark leads and sadboi stuff forever.

Idk, this just sounds like END. I love both bands but I'd prefer they stay a bit more distinctly different.
