Yeah hearing Kurt Ballou try his hand at this would be very fucking tight but there’s literally a higher chance of ETID getting back together than Will not being their producer lmfao

Album fell off hard for me. Maybe it's the production its too, clean. I think if it had more of an ETID Low Teens or FPU feel it'd have more teeth.
New song is alright. More of the same.

'CAN YOU EVEN DISTINGUISH YOURSELF FROM MEEEEEEEE' - I know this lyric is about AI but interesting to consider it in the context of BL - ETID.
I think I'm finally coming around. Despite ETID being one of my favorite bands, and Greg being one of my favorite vocalists, somehow this combination felt off to me for a long time. It's been long enough that I'm beginning to accept BL as their own entity and not just compare them to ETID. They definitely seem to have a slightly different vibe the more I listen to them, and I finally truly dig it with this new single

Damn that chorus was really unexpected, probably their best chorus aside from Sacrificial Participant

Really do not understand how The Impossible End did not make the original tracklist. That track fucking slaps indeed

Both of those songs are better than half of what’s here, Impossible End would probably be top 3. I’m gonna rework the tracklist to also include the EP. And cut Deliver Us From Life cause that shit is weak as fuck

Hope this gets a vinyl release

Both new tracks are top 4 for me. Other than Superman Died Paralyzed and Love As An Act of Rebellion, I haven't really returned to much here. Really ought to return to it soon.

Misplaced Self is killer and is honestly probably my favorite song here. Just a minute and change fuckin barn burner of a track, probably Greg’s best lyrics on the thing too. At All Times is a great ballad too, honestly I like every song here aside from White Horse and Deliver Us From Life. White Horse is just weak and but Deliver Us From Life is kind of a needed breather, it’s a mid tempo rock song but I just really don’t care for it man.
I still like this record a lot but the whole time I just felt like it was a weaker ETID album with some Will Putney leads, which was what I was afraid of. Hopefully LP2 can distinguish itself a little more. Looking at the record in a vacuum, it’s great, but looking at it as a supergroup follow-up to Radical makes it feel underwhelming, which maybe isn’t fair but it is what it is.

Yeah I can't stop listening to The Impossible End. Top 3 track they've ever done tbh.
Feel like they're really gonna break through with their next album
