I feel like the uber-cringe moments are part of the experience, or some such nonsense

So, I just saw him in Nola. Made friends with some big fan girls in line and I ended up waiting around with them to meet the band after an amazing set. We 3 end up at the bar with the band after an offhand invite and I got a chance to pick Greep’s brain about jazz and obscure guitar records. Dude’s very down to earth.

Nice to hear.

Was he coming up with decent suggestions and showing genuine interest or was it hipster prattle?

Walthamstow innit

Either proper bloke or complete cunt. There’s no in between in that neck of the woods.

At like 5pm on a Tuesday Daryl Johns Instagram story’d that he needed a merch guy in manhattan and two hours later I was doing merch and Geordie greep was at the bar talking to people like under ten feet away from me nearly the entire time lol

@zak: Oh, proper bloke for sure. He was genuinely listening to me and had something thoughtful to say about most everything I brought up, even gave me a couple of recs for records I haven't heard. A regular convo between music nerds. He knew of Ted Greene, which I was pretty sure that he would lol. He has a bit of an idiosyncrasy where, when he's been drinking a for a bit, he'll wordlessly offer a friend a sip of his whiskey, and my dumbass shot the whole glass cause I thought he just didn't want it, which I apologized multiple times for afterwards. It was pretty tasty, not just well whiskey, but he just waved it off, got another one, and even offered me another sip a few minutes after but chuckled "Don't shoot it this time." Also, his band was full of very laid back, friendly and talented guys who behaved similarly. All made for a great memory.

Saw him last night, incredible show. His band were amazing, particularly the piano/synth player and guitarist. Immaculate energy, stage antics, and virtuoso playing. 10/10, go see them if you have the chance

As if Waltz is emotionally cataclysmic, the absolute pits.
