Just got through my first listen and have mixed feelings. Most of the death metal parts aren't as great as the first two records and while I enjoy a lot of the prog rock parts, the transitions in and out of them aren't really that cohesive. It doesn't feel like great songwriting for me on first listen but maybe it will grow with repeated listens. Atmospherically though, as a whole, I enjoyed this record.

I don't really follow others opinions like that no I mean if some people say it's good that typically agree with that's cool but im not riding one persons opinion that much. I see ppl here all the time.. the album will have a good rating positive reception then one guys says he don't like it and it turns someone off from the album "well damn I'm not even listening to it now lol" and they don't even listen to it cause that one person said he didn't like it even tho everyone else has good things to say about it. Some ppl pick others and follow their opinions a litle to much or are influenced a little to much for their own good. I'm not gunna jump off a bridge just cause my buddy says it's cool

Fair enough and no wasn't implying anything beyond music taste lol. I will say, this site once, upon a time, had a huge hand in shaping my metal tastes because of a few people whose metal opinion was vastly more researched then mine.
