i totally get it. i should really like it in theory. just kinda waiting for the next evolution of the genre. there's tons more you can do with deathcore that hasn't been done. my other favorite genre midwest emo kinda going through the same cycle lol

New album is such a massive drop in quality sadly. That "fuck you" line in the first track off the new record is immensely loaded with cringe. Emma sounds sick for some reason, like she recorded with a sore throat the entire time. It's alright overall but devoid of the riffs or tight musicianship in favor of painfully generic clean choruses and bland breakdowns.

I do like the final 4 tracks a lot on the new record and the range is about 3-3.5 ish but after coming off of this, it's still a letdown even if it's a 3.5 for me. Back half really saves it for me being a total disaster

Yeah the back half, while still being really melodic focused was a much better edition of it. Like I said, new album is still good to great in some aspects but compared to this, doesn't hold a candle whatsoever which is a shame especially given how excited I was for it.
