Dark Angel is sorta like Slayer if they would have a better memory and play longer songs.

Black Prophecies is longer than any Slayer song released thank you very much. Also:

I'm not sure memory has anything to do with Slayer's song lengths, which you'll find are generally longer on 'Seasons of the Abyss'. Although I'm not sure why song length matters although it's better that the songs on here are shorter.

Ease up, I'm just kidding. I just think after a while the shortness of Reign In Blood gets old.

If anything I would say that's what stops it getting old.

As much as i love slayer, i can't get over the repetitiveness of Reign. I know it's intentional and some may love it, but i can't stand it.

This album is okay but it's nothing special. I like Angel of Death and Raining Blood quite a lot but the rest of the tracks aren't that interesting. I understand that this is one of the most important albums in the development of death metal but it just doesn't do it for me. Metallica certainly released much better albums around the same time.

loving the metaphor in the second paragraph.

I seriously do not follow any of the songs between angel of death and raining blood at all.

album is overrated.

I've never been a Slayer guy, but this CD is okay. The vocals are a HUGE turn off and I know thats generally peoples problems with them, but the vocalist from Kreator has a similar vocal style its just a little harsher and sounds loads better... Great instrumentals though

My second favorite metal CD after Rust In Piece by Megadeth. 30 minutes of nonstop thrash perfection excellence. Every song is a masterpiece of thrash metal and it is non stop in punk like tempo the whole time! The bonus remake song "Aggressive Perfector" sounds like it fits on this CD and is the best version by far. Didn't like the Criminally Insane remake as much as the original but that is bonus material and can be ignored. Far and away Slayer's best CD and one all Slayer fans must hear. Every Slayer CD up to Seasons in the Abyss is excellent and this is the best of the best. Countless bands have been influenced by this CD and many are into metal because of Reign In Blood.
