Wow both new songs are excellent and better than anything on here and at least half of IAEtF. Maybe they still have some inspiration left after all!

After these two new songs, i feel like the last couple albums were them experimenting more than a lack of inspiration

this album was 100% the product of an extreme depressive slump (backstory is all there) but hmm interesting to know they can still make decent tunes
probably casts those trying way too hard to stick up for this in an even sillier light. let that hysterically bland nadir be a hysterically bland nadir

Then good to know they’re doing better!

I hope The National see this poverty 3 average and get it together next album
