I don't know...I have listened to this 2 or 3 times and I am digging it overall. A clear and present improvement over their past few records. As someone mentioned, this is sort of like a Sounds of the Playground Fading but with improved cleans. Hot Take - The ultra-cheesy chorus in Pure Light of Mind is pretty awesome. Then again, I like a fair amount of cheesy pop, so take that as you will.
The heavy tracks slay on this.

You were disappointed by Come Clarity? That’s one of my favourite albums ever.
Stoked to hear this in full.

I'm actually digging everything that wasn't a single more which is good because I only really liked two of the singles all that much. Pure light of mind through cynosure all riffs really hard. And despite not liking the cleans overall, i think they're pretty well realized to their full potential in pure light of mind

Love that the singles ended up being my least favourite tracks on here. Pretty good album if you don’t overthink it too much.

people who like this should listen to the new Soilwork, it's leagues ahead of whatever these guys put out in the last 20 years and it's not Soilwork's best
at least there the cleans are tasteful

This really isn’t too bad but more enjoyable if you tell yourself they’re recapturing the early days of BFMV instead of anything resembling IF

Their best since Come Clarity. Some really fun riffing here. Glad to see them embracing some heavier instrumentation.
