I'm going to introduce Slayer to a friend of mine, I need two or three perfect Slayer songs, since you are the only true Slayer-expert on this site (in my opinion), I need some serious suggestions.

I'd probably go with "South of Heaven", "Angel of Death", and either "War Ensemble" or "Raining Blood". Most people will know "Raining Blood", but "War Ensemble" is very accessible.
BTW, this is South.

seasons in the abyss (the song) is also a good first slayer song to let a person hear.

I would say that whole album (Seasons) is the best album to get into Slayer with. That's what I did! :D
I lost my copy of this album though, which makes me sad. I gotta get it again soon, as I have not listened to it in a while and I miss rocking out to Flesh Storm.

You need to find that ASAP buddy.
So anyway, I've been listening to "Eyes of the Insane" a lot lately. It's still the worst off this album, but it's really grown on me. The video still kinda sucks.

GHUA was better, (Disciple was a new classic), and sorry, Paul's a better drmmer than Dave, though it did fel lik more original Slayer. Lombardo is awesom, but Paul can actually makethe guitars have trouble keeping up w him at times! Which is total Slayer: The musicians sound possessed, thei instruents swirling in cacophonous discord aroundone another, one instrument always chugging to keep up with the speed of the others, then they switch -
Let us be thankful that while Metallic has sucked for almost 20 years (and probably will continue to suck) we still have Slayer, and no matter who teir drummer is, both are better than Lars and practically any othr drummer in metal!

Paul's a better drmmer than Dave I strongly disagree. Dave Lombardo is easily one of the best drummers around.

Great review man. I have yet to hear all of this album, but since i read this, i think i might go and get it!
but i have to say dudeinthepassinglane, Metallica hasnt sucked... ever! yea they went down a long ways from black album to the load, reload, and st. anger stuff, but they are probably the most influencial metal bands of all time, no doubt.
