GR is my favorite album and favorite album art. Great simple design aesthetics and perfectly fits the sound of the album.

Really Angel, that is one of my lesser favorites. Probably only ahead of orchid, heritage, and maybe blackwater park.

The Night and the Silent Water is probably the worst song on this album honestly.

nah, Black Rose Immortal is the worst.

Black Rose Immortal is definitely too long for it's own good but it has so many top-notch moments at the same time.



To Bid You Farewell is untouchable though. Such a great song.

you're missing out hard

Well, I wasn't trolling, considering BRI is one of my least listened to Opeth song because I always get bored halfway through. But because TNATSW has the most amazing atmosphere out of their discography and To Bid You Farewell is their best ballad this album gets an easy 4.5 from me.

That's pretty reasonable.

My favourite Opeth album of the 90's. Every song here, though stretched out over 10 minutes, never ceases to amaze me with its beautiful guitar melodies and Mikael's ability to sing like an angel and hurl like a devil. 'Nectar' is slightly weaker than the other four songs, but even that is a brilliant tune in its own way.
