Before I knew it, they had become my favourite band, and I remember first hearing Current around 2013 when I disdainfully said they were ripping off misery signals. They are such a good band.

Alright I'll check that out. And hard agree, this is the most generic shit I've heard with this high of an overall avg. I don't get it... Isn't a lot of stuff like this hard mocked on here? It sounds like the kind of thing I used to listen to back in HS but can't stand today. I don't mean any offense to anyone who likes this, I'm just so perplexed by that avg lol

choice of words and lyrics style overall in this album is just beyond their previous works in terms of relatability and strong expression of emotions



from something almost vulnerable ("it's hard to breathe without you sleeping on my chesty")

to something honestly angry and dissapointed ("your self-inflicted suffering will satisfy my thirst")

to something deeply tired and a bit envious, bitter ("I ache to be anyone else"; "I watch the coffins close wishing one were mine")



like it's no surprise for their style to write these things but omg even with me being biased it's just really good
