This is no worse than ‘Endgame’, ‘Dystopia’ or ‘System Has Failed’ for me - Killing Time is filler and Mission to Mars is a bit too goofy, but the rest is very solid.

first #1 metal album was metal health by quiet riot and even then bands like ozzy, priest, maiden, sabbath were headlining big arenas
hair metal went out cause it sucked and people were sick of shit like firehouse, warrant, steelheart, kingdom come etc. but the underground was always thriving and never stopped

besides say what ya will about nirvana but kurt and grohl at least were huge metal fans, everything from maiden to celtic frost to trouble

Have yet to listen to this and yeah, my biggest apprehension before I do, are the vocals.
I love Mustaine as a singer, but time can degrade even idiosyncratic vocals such as his.

Got it today 2 listens back-to-back some good moments some run of the mill moments it's ok but most of the solo's sound like it's being played over a hanger 18 backing track overall not that impressed if I'm honest

yeah one of the leads is like a carbon copy of one the leads from hangar 18, it's a real shame.
production wise i think the album sounds great, my only gripe is there's a heavy amount of treble on the leads which gets unpleasant sometimes.
