"Desolate Landscapes" kinda reminds me of Opeth's "Harvest" but at 78 rpm. Something with the minor/major chording.

Definitely their most ambitious effort thus far, think I still slightly prefer Dirge though.

When those vile riffs and lows hit in Seizures, I get massive stank face. Real upper-lip type shit. Have spun this like three times a day since it came out, so gud.

That sinister ambience in the background on Seizures man. So evil.

Good stuff, but I feel that just like on their third album Voices, this has a lot of black metal undertones, although this is probably a bit more varied and ambitious. I prefer the more classic grind sound of their first two LPs.

I'm not getting the fuss over Seizures and Voiceless Choir, certainly one of the least interesting parts of the album for me - guess it's cool how they incorporate into the overall piece though. Honestly that appears to be most of the appeal here, it is mostly quite good but held up by the idea of incorporating a plethora of styles and making those transitions stick, the individual cuts aren't all that. Good album when you have no chuffing clue what to listen to I guess.
Grieve and Desolate Landscapes buck the trend, probably my stand-outs.
