“still never seen a band drop off so hard from losing a guitarist.“

Still can't believe how bad this is compared to ending The Dark Pool with Where we Go.

Fucking lmao.

It would be a lot more bearable/passable at least if the production wasn't so painfully awful.

The general idea I've gather over the last two years is half the album is worth saving, the other isnt. The problem is nobody can agree what half is worth saving and which isn't. The Hellfire Club, Leather Wings, and Arkangel seem to be in the save category consistently. But the other 2 or 3 tracks no one can agree upon.

The other ones for me would probably be Hollywood and Heroine. Everything else can go in the trash, especially Raw (no I will never stop bashing how awful that song is.)

Alright, what the fuck. So I go to see Invent Animate and Northlane last night and totally forgot Thornhill was on the billing. I liked a few of their earlier songs but not much of this record. I remember them sounding kinda tame?

Well, they sound about 3 times heavier live, his vocals were on point and his growls lower than I remembered on record. Wtf.

Also, Thornhill got a WALL OF DEATH and a CIRCLE PIT going, which sounds goofy on paper, but damn, they really hit hard live. So enjoyable!

yeah I'm not thrilled by their newer stuff so I thought I'd be bored but it was the opposite so yay

I wonder if they changed the setlist since you saw them Purpl3, as a lot of last night's stuff was super heavy

Personally I really enjoy it.

I think we can all agree its a *far* better first impression/single for a new album than Casanova was.

i guess theyre a nu metal band now lmao

that song sucked but it was catchy and moderately heavy and jacob doesnt have the filter on when hes singing so i guess its the small victories. i guess guilty pleasure junk food is the best they have to offer, but it was still janky as all hell and its chorus is not good

dead band is still dead
